Days 6 & 7: A Week in the Life of a College Student

Days 6 & 7: Saturday and Sunday

If you haven’t read day 5 yet, go read it here before reading days 6 & 7:

Day 5: A Week in the Life of a College Student

The weekend was pretty uneventful..  (Hence why I bunched both days together into one post.)  I mainly worked on homework all weekend in between watching a movies with my family.

Saturday I woke up with a sore throat, a headache, and an upset stomach.  Whatever I had gotten sick with Tuesday, was making it’s second appearance..

I spent most of the day getting all of my business homework done (my favorite homework), as well as my Personal Finance homework (my least favorite homework), and taking plenty of naps in between to ease my headaches.  My comfy bed was the perfect place to settle in for the day and get that kind of work done.  (I’m so glad that most of my school work is on my computer!)

My grandmother and I sat down to watch ‘The Lego Movie’ Saturday night, but my grandmother got called away to help a friend, so I got had to watch it without her.  (I know what you’re thinking..  “Why didn’t you just wait for her to get back?”  I’m getting there!)  The worst part was; my brother (whom NEVER watches movies with us) actually wanted to watch a movie with us!  The one time he wants to watch a movie with us, and my grandmother gets called away..!  So my brother and I watched the movie together and I decided that I was going to try to watch it again tomorrow with my grandmother.

On Sunday, I woke up just as sick feeling as the day before.  But you know what I had going for me..?  I got to stay in bed all day!  AND, I got half of my homework done the day before!

This day was spent working on Spanish homework, and getting my computer assignments done for computer class.  Thankfully, I found out that we are switching from that nasty ‘Microsoft Excel‘ to ‘Microsoft Powerpoint‘ in computer class this upcoming week, which I am very happy about!  (Powerpoint just makes more sense to me than Excel does..)

Sunday night, I tried a ‘take two’ on watching The Lego Movie.  I had my grandmother sit down and watch it with me (again) and she really liked the movie.  I didn’t mind watching it for a second time in a row, but I did end up doing my computer homework while watching it.  (Two birds, one stone, right?)

After getting all of my homework done for the week, I was excited that tomorrow started a new week.  A new week, a (hopefully) better week, and new challenges (always) ahead.

My brother was kind enough to inform me that Monday was also the start of week 8 here at college.  I can’t believe it’s been that long!  It feels like I just started college, and now I’m finding out that I’m half way through my Fall semester!  Wow!  Time truly does fly when you’re in good company, and I’m surrounded my amazing teachers, classmates, and friends here at college!

Thank you all so much for following along with me in this week long journey through college!  If you want to see more of the ‘Week in the Life of’ posts, let me know in the comments below!  And if you want to read my other ‘Week in the Life of’ series, you can find a link to that below!  Until next time, smile, breath, and remember to press on, no matter how bad your week is looking..!
