I’m finally the proud mama of an Etsy shop!

So, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time now..  And it’s finally here.  After spending a lot of time setting it up and getting things up on it, I finally have an Etsy Shop where I can sell all of the things I work hard on making here at the homestead!

My Etsy Shop only ships within the United States for right now (sorry international readers, but shipping overseas is just too expensive at the moment), but I plan to eventually add international shipping when I get my business more established.

I can’t even begin to explain how hard it was for me to make the decision to sell on Etsy..

  • First off, there was the cost to think about.  Between the cost of shipping, and Etsy taking a small percentage, it leaves me with less money than you would think.  But I’ve done all of the math and I’ve added shipping and everything into the overall price.  (Yay, less math for you guys!)
  • Second, it’s always really hard to sell my stuff.  This is stuff that I work hard on, and I’m very proud of it.  So to sell the stuff I make is really hard for me, because I never know whether people will like it as much as I do.
  • Third, my blog, as well as my Etsy Shop, has been like a baby to me.  I’ve watched my blog slowly grow over the past year and a half.  Then, I made a Facebook Page for my blog, and that’s been going well too.  So for me to now add an Etsy Shop to it, it’s a bit intimidating to think that I’m going to be unleashing it out to the world for everyone to see..
  • And fourth..  I have so much going on in my life at the moment.  College, homework, writing for my blog, keeping up with my Facebook Page, taking care of my grandparents, and still making sure I have time for myself.  It takes a lot out of me.  And now I’m adding an Etsy Shop?!  I must ether be insane, or really good at managing my time..  (I’d like to think that I’m both.)

So please, be kind to my new baby, and check out the site.  And if you want to support what I do (and you live in the U.S.), then feel free to do some of your Christmas shopping through me!

There will be more stuff added often, so check my Etsy Shop often to check out what’s been added every week!

As always, have an amazing day, smile, and let me know in the comments what you think about my Etsy Shop!  ((And don’t forget that Christmas is just around the corner! 😉 ))

  1. Oh, wow! Congratulations on your Etsy Shop! I adore all you have on there. The crocheted hats are super cute! And I love the earrings, too. Especially the elegant black ones. I have an author friend who LOVES all things unicorns, and I think she’ll dig the unicorn hats. I’ll have to send her the pics, and see what she thinks. It would make a great Christmas present for her. Super excited to see what you’ll add next. I’m soooooooooo happy for you! ❤ ❤ ❤

You're in my daily prayers. And I'll continue to ask God to give you strength, balance, and all you need to enjoy the process of accomplishing your goals.

    Hugs & Blessings,

    • Aww, thank you so much for your kind words and prayers! ❤ You're too sweet. 🙂 I'm very proud of all of my projects that I've put on Etsy, and I plan to add more soon (I hope). It's been hectic with finals right around the corner and I feel like my blog and Etsy are slipping with college work piling up.. 😛 Fingers crossed I can keep up everything through these winter months!

You're in my thoughts often as well and you always brighten my days when I see your comments. 🙂 Hope you are doing well!

    • You have really great graphic designs! I really like your shop and all of the pictures that you create. 🙂 You’re right, Etsy shops are hard work, but every time you make a sale you feel like they’re finally worth it. Your Etsy could definitely use a ‘few’ more pictures, but you have a great variety that shows people that there’s something for everyone on your page. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see more!

      • Having a niche really depends on the content you want to be known for, and how you want to be set apart from all the other graphic designers on Etsy. I think that it’s always best to set yourself apart from the rest, but at the same time, it depends on what people want to buy as well. Right now, all of your pictures on your Etsy are nature/outdoor based. Even the picture of NYC is an outdoor picture of buildings. Right now, there is a big push for nature related things and saving the earth, so your outdoor pictures are great. Deciding on a niche really depends on what you want to do with your page, and what you want to do/say with your art. Eventually, a niche finds you if you don’t find it first.
