Hello. My name is Deanna and I am a candy-oholic..
To say that I love candy is an understatement! I can’t go more than a few days without candy. When I DO have candy, it doesn’t last long..
My solution? I hide candy from myself around my room. (And it works!) Not only does this stop me from pigging out on candy all day, but when I am desperate for candy, all I have to do is go on a scavenger hunt and find it!
Sometimes however, I forget that I hide candy and I find it at very random times..
One of the places I like hiding candy is in my dresser drawers with my clothes. I change out my clothes every few months for clothes that are appropriate for that season (short sleeves for Summer, long sleeve shirts for Fall, hoodies for Winter, etc.) However, because my shorts and pants have separate drawers in my room, that’s the one thing that I don’t switch out.
While I was going through my clothes –putting away my winter clothes and bringing out a few of my spring clothes (wishful thinking here in Michigan, I know)– I decided to do a full closet clean and get rid of all of my old clothes that I don’t wear/are too small. I typically do this once a year and we give them to a close family friend with lots of little grandkids who go through the clothes and give the rest to a local thrift shop.
While I was going through all of my pants, I found a huge extra large chocolate bar tucked in the way back of the drawer! I’m not 100% sure how long it’s been back there, but I’m willing to bet that it has been there for a while (a year at the most).
I decided that I obviously didn’t ‘need’ chocolate right now, so back into the drawer it went to be saved for future me to find it. ❤
I managed to get rid of a lot of unnecessary clothes that no longer fit AND I found a chocolate bar! Double score!
Does anyone else hide candy (or anything else) from themselves, or just me? 😛 Comment below on what your sweet addiction is, and if you’ve ever tried to hide it from yourself!
As always, have an amazing day, smile, and enjoy a sweet treat. You deserve it! 😉
