Garden Update: When is Fall..?

With work and other things constantly keeping me busy, I feel like I haven’t taken a ‘true’ walk through my gardens in ages! So imagine my surprise when I take a walk yesterday morning (enjoying my day off from work and chores) and I find a sunflower in full bloom in the flower garden!

The sunflowers aren’t the only things that were growing fast! I’ve got plenty of flowers that are growing like crazy! I need to start picking them and making more bouquets before I get bombarded like last year!

Besides the flowers, my beans are also close to producing actual beans over in the veggie garden!!! And my carrots are growing bigger still! (I think the carrots like being in the pots a lot better than being planted in the ground..)

With all of the flowers in full bloom, and the carrots and beans getting close to harvest time, it’s beginning to feel a lot more like Fall around here. In fact, I noticed a few red trees on the way to my mothers house yesterday and almost screamed with giddiness! Fall is almost here, and with it, comes the best time of the year: Harvest time!

Speaking of harvesting crops.. The onions were harvested last week and I split them between me and my family. I made a plate for my parents, and then one for my grandparents and I to keep. That very night, I made fried potatoes and onions for everyone! 🥰😋

I hope everyone else is ready for Fall! Has anyone else had their first harvest of crops? Have you seen any leaves changing where you live (or Spring flowers if you live on the other side of the world)? Comment below!

As always, smile, have an amazing day, and don’t forget to check your gardens often! 😅

  1. Thank you for sharing what you have found! I have several photos I have taken over the last few months as I walk the farm daily and always find a new bloom or something amazing to share with our kids and grandkids! Have a beautiful day :)Jen
