I’m Back! ((Did You Miss Me?))

I would like to first and foremost apologize for my long absence away from my blog.  Life is a tricky thing to schedule, and it is hard to write a blog post while life is throwing 100 different things your way.

Second (and just as important as the first) I would like to tell you all what’s been going on..  This month alone has been a whirlwind of different things all grouped together to form one large knotted ball of yarn that I thought would never unravel.

First there was a three day family vacation over at ‘Warren Dunes’ (more to come on that later) just a week before finals for college.

Then came my finals for college where I got yelled at by a teacher, took a four hour long test, and had to say goodbye to some amazing people at that college as they graduated and left that place forever. (I’ve got one more semester to go until I do the same.)

Then, a day after college was over I started working full time again so that I could save up more money for a house.

And finally, just a few days after finishing my final exams, I had decided to move out of my grandparents house and into my parents house for the summer.  There were honestly many reasons why I had decided to move out, and it had been coming for a while now.  But the main reason was so that my parents could go with me this summer to look at houses.

Yup, you read that right!  I am officially on the hunt for my dream property!  After all this time talking about it, it’s finally happening!

So as of right now, I have my own space, I’m working full time so that more money can be saved for a down payment on a place, and I can finally breath again with the crushing weight of homework gone.

I am currently sitting at my table drinking hot cocoa (because it’s a chilling 45 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside) and writing this post for y’all before I head off for another day at work.

This is my work space

My temporary home is chilly and cozy this morning as I sit here writing to you guys. But it feels so good to finally have my own space after living with my grandparents for four years.. I love my family, but I desperately need to strike out on my own and start looking for a place to grow my roots.

As the days get longer and the nights get shorter, I’m trying to use my time constructively. You will see a lot more of me this summer as I post about my big adventures in finding my forever home, my smaller adventures of living in my own tiny space, and everything in between.

I love you guys and thank you so much for putting up with my long absence while I finish college and get things taken care of for the next step in my life! ❤ ❤ ❤ More to come I promise! But until then remember to smile, count your blessings, and log off and enjoy life every now and then.
