Snow Day, Netflix, and Crafts

Today we had a ‘snowstorm’. (Which is what we in Michigan call it when a lot of snow is predicted, but we only get a light dusting.) Overall, I think we got about an inch or two of snow, but with the temperatures between 16°F and 11°F (real feel of 4°F) I decided that today was a snow day!

The wind was the worst part of the storm as it liked to blow the snow in your face as you walked, no matter the direction you were walking! Sadly, I couldn’t get a good picture of the big fat snowflakes falling from the sky.. However, I couldn’t resist taking some pictures of the snowflakes that had landed gracefully upon everything around! I loved taking pictures of all of the unique and pretty snowflakes that landed everywhere, but the temperatures were freezing!

When I wasn’t outside taking pretty pictures of the snow (and freezing to death!), I was inside watching Netflix with my mother and crocheting. My mother and I most recently have been hooked on a show called ‘Sweet Magnolias’ and it’s been a great show to watch while crocheting!

Here are some of the things I’ve been working on this month:

My fairy bags are coming along great! I now have some bags with purple flowers on them as well, because that’s a Valentine’s Day color (and I get sick of all of this pink!).

Those white snowballs you see (pictured above) are the start of my ‘love bombs‘. They are going to look like little bombs, with long black wicks (think; ‘old cartoon bombs’), and a red/pink heart on them. They are filled with stuffing and are very soft and throwable. Good for throwing at the ones you love! 😉

And finally, I’ve been working on some pretty flower doilies that are the perfect fit for Spring and Valentine’s Day! I’ve been trying to stick to many different colors of pink and white, but I couldn’t help adding some color in with some yellows and blues. (Like I said, I’m not the biggest fan of pink..)

Today has been very productive for my crocheting and thank goodness I didn’t have to go out in this nasty cold weather today!

Well, that’s it for today’s update! I’m off to watch homesteading videos on YouTube while I crochet some more! If you have any suggestions for YouTube videos to watch, PLEASE post them in the comments! I’m always looking for new videos to watch and I have nothing better to do while I sit and crochet for hours on end!!!

As always, smile, have an amazing day, and enjoy your cold winters days trapped inside!
