A Look Inside my New Apartment..

~

For many reasons, I will not be showing off too much of my new place. However, I am more than happy to show off some of the amazing things I have in my new place! So with that said, here are a few things that I’ve incorporated into my new apartment!

1. Books!

I have always said that instead of a living room, I wanted a library! So, because my boyfriend and I are both avid book readers, we had plenty of books in between us to make a little library! Of course, our library couldn’t be complete without an entire shelf for gardening, and of course Dobby is looking over our books for us..

2. Indoor Greenery!

We love that we can look out any of our windows here and see trees, but we also love being able to bring the outside in. I wanted to make the bathroom a forest themed because 1) it goes better with a lot of the eco-friendly stuff we have in there, and 2) it feels like a breath of fresh air every time we walk in there! As far as the (non-permanent) stickers on the kitchen cabinets go, it’s a great way to remember the herbs that we cook with, and it brings a little color to our otherwise dull kitchen. And finally, we added some more (non-permanent) stickers to one of the bedroom closets to make it look a little ‘greener’.

3. A Dining Room Table!

We honestly weren’t sure if a dining room table was going to fit in this small little apartment, but we managed to get it up the stairs and in through the door, so here it is! I have always wanted a round dining room table, and I can’t wait for the day we can have people over for dinner around this table or have game nights here.

4. Eco-Friendly Products!

In case y’all thought I forgot about my eco-friendly stuff, nope! We got these awesome glass food storage containers with bamboo wooden lids, and guys, these things are amazing! They can be microwaved, and they are the most useful thing we have for storing food after we cook it! Another thing we got as a gift were these storage containers of various sizes. This has allowed us to buy our food in bulk and distribute it between multiple airtight containers that keep it fresh and away from bugs. Besides that, we also have (mostly) eco-friendly cleaning products, as well as rags for cleaning so we aren’t using something once and throwing it away. These rags were especially helpful when we first got the place and I was cleaning everything like crazy! I personally wanted my first house to be as eco-friendly as possible, and despite the learning curve with shopping eco-friendly, I think we are off to a good start..

That’s all I’ve got for you guys today. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek into my new place! And as always, Smile, have an amazing day, and enjoy the weather (whatever it may be)!

    • Aww thank you so much Jessi! ❤ And yes, my apartment story was certainly one I'll be telling for years to come. There have been so many other ridiculous stories that I could share on here as it feels like it's been one ridiculous thing after another happening here, but at least I have a place of my own (more or less).
