~
This morning, I woke up to the quiet drizzle of rain outside my open window. The birds seem happy to finally have some rain, and if I close my eyes, I can almost imagine myself deep in the forest on a rainy day.
I am now spending close to seven hours a day in the greenhouse at work, doing nothing but watering in silence. This gives me WAY too much time in my own head! Thankfully, my boyfriend has let me borrow his little speaker that I can slip in my pocket as I walk around, so I now have music in the greenhouse to make me less stir crazy. However, all the music does is add ambiance to my thoughts as it plays softly in the background.. I’ve started having conversations with the plants to pass the time as I water them, but the customers just think I’m crazy. Anyways, there has been plenty to think about these past few days, and a lot to tell you lovely readers!
First off, I’ve spent so much time in the greenhouse that my hair is turning green!

I had one kid ask me why my hair was green.. I told him that it was because I spent so much time surrounded by green plants, that my hair just started to absorb the color. Of course, I quickly retracted that and said that it was because I had dyed it green, as the look of warning on the mother’s face, and the look of shock on the little boy’s face had me thinking I better not fill his head with tails. Truth be told, it’s supposed to be an aqua color that slowly fade to blue. But I’ve had so many people tell me that they love me green hair, I just slowly started saying that it’s green.
I absolutely love my ‘green’ hair! And you wanna know what? It matches my fancy ring that my boyfriend (now fiancé) just gave me! That’s right, I am now engaged now!

Now, to my fiancé’s request, he doesn’t want his name or pictures on my blog. I can feel free to write all about him, but understandable so, he wants certain things to remain private. As we are both Military Brats who grew up with a private lifestyle, I 100% respect that! So I ask that my readers try to respect that as well, and have patience with me, as I will still be blogging about our lives but with certain pictures left out.
With that said, I am so happy to announce that I am happily engaged and enjoying every second of it! I’m not worried about planning a wedding at the moment, so please don’t ask me ‘when are you getting married’? As of right now we are enjoying some quiet time before we tell the whole world. (Although after this is posted, the cat’s out of the bag…)
How did he do it you may ask? Well! He proposed to me at his grandparent’s farm, on the top of a large hill, overlooking the endless fields of grass and trees. And of course, I said yes! I loved the spot he proposed to me at, because out there, overlooking the beautiful land of green, was exactly what we both want for our future homestead.
And with that, I must leave my readers for now. Abrupt, I know, but I must be off to water plants for another seven hours today..
As always, Smile, have an amazing day, and don’t forget to water the gardens (both literally and metaphorically)! 😉
Congratulations! That is so exciting! I love the description of where he proposed, sounds like a beautiful spot for a beautiful moment. I understand his privacy concerns. Razz and I are both pretty private people, him more so than me. Neither of us post revealing photos of ourselves or our private matters on our blog. The world is full of risks and its one we’re not willing to take. Respect to your fiancé. Enjoy your day and your engagement.
