So, the old scrubbie I made a couple of months ago is starting to look pretty bad.. Not only does it have holes in it, but someone thought it was a good idea to use white for a kitchen scrubbie! In my defense, that was the only color I had at the time, but I have now remedied that!

Introducing my new scrubbies!

I wanted something MUCH darker than the silly white scrubbie I already had, as I can see every single food stain that is left on that poor thing right now. I also experimented with using a smaller crochet hook so that the holes weren’t as big as before and it wouldn’t break as easy. Thankfully, my fiancé just got me a brand-new set of crochet hooks, as I had lost mine in the move to the new apartment, so I will be trying my best to crochet a little more. Not for the markets this time, but for myself and for things we need/want around the apartment (like scrubbies).

The red and the burnt orange are mostly for me, I manly got the lavender color for my mother because hers was looking a little rough too, and I plan to make a set of red and orange for my grandmother as well. So far I’ve made eight in the last few days, and then I think I’ll move onto crocheting some cool fall decorations for the apartment.
