~
Today was a busy day, which is usually the case for my days off. With Christmas a week away, I’ve been in the kitchen pretty much every day after work; making cookies, fudge, frosting, and no-bakes.
Today I made frosting for all of the sugar cookies that were baked yesterday, as well as another batch of fudge for family goodies. This batch of cookies that were frosted today is going to work with me tomorrow morning for my lovely team members and I to snack on for the day.
I think that the cookies turned out so cute! I love the colors that I used, and I think that everything really pops when you see them all together like this. I went with basic stars, snowflakes, and mittens this year. Nothing ‘too’ complicated to frost, and I like these better than the traditional Christmas trees and Snowmen we do every year.

After frosting the cookies this morning, I had to find a way to warm up dinner from two nights ago. Chicken and vegetable stew. Unfortunately, our microwave stopped working about two weeks ago, and the apartment manager is still waiting for a new one to get shipped in so they can swap them out. While we wait for that to happen, we have had to warm our food up with the stove or the oven. It’s not too bad, it makes the food taste better, it’s just time consuming and dirties up more dishes. Anyways, I made some cornbread to go with it and fried up the stew on the stove.

After lunch, and a well-deserved nap, I got back to the kitchen to get the fudge, cookies, and no-bakes ready to bring into work..

With the goodies done, I made one more batch of fudge for the upcoming holidays and went off to wrap presents for Christmas. I waited until the last minute to do this because I didn’t want to forget what I had gotten everyone, which tends to happen if I wrap them too early. I don’t want to be just as surprised as they are when they unwrap their gifts on Christmas…

After wrapping presents, I went to my drawing desk to do a few more cards for the ladies at work. I was only missing a few, so I sat down to cut out cards and found some cute ideas on Pinterest. I love finding things to draw, and I think that these turned out so cute! (I know, I say that about everything I make..)

I am now calling it a night as I have to get up really early in the morning and slowly drive to work in the snow that decided to make itself present today.

Alright my lovely readers, Smile, have an amazing day, and if I don’t see you before then, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

YUMM!!!
