After a rough nights sleep on a springy mattress, and the fire alarm in the hotel going off at three in the morning, hubby and I got dressed and started our drive over to the Renaissance Festival in Holly Michigan.
Although hubby doesn’t really dress up for these things, my outfit took at least twenty minutes to put on.. Of course, that was with attaching the ears to my head and doing my hair.. After taking some pictures to send to some friends, we were ready to go!

Each weekend at the Ren Fair had a different theme. The theme for this weekend was the ‘Harvest Huzzah‘! Needless to say, everyone was looking festive in their Autumn outfits, and pumpkin heads were EVERYWHERE!

We didn’t stay at the Fair as long as we normally did. By noon, we had seen everything we wanted to see, twice, and the crowds were getting wild because it was the second-to-last weekend for the Ren Fair. By noon the streets became too crowded to even move, and the dust from people walking around created a brown haze over everything. So instead of waiting an hour in line for overpriced food, we decided to just leave early and head to McDonalds for a quick bite to ea.

Overall, the Ren Fair was amazing and definitely worth the drive! We had an amazing time, we got some nice goodies, and this trip made us cherish our new home (and bed) just a little more! (Seriously though, the springs in the beds at the hotel were nearly the death of us!)

One of my FAVORITE things to get at the Ren Fair is my teas! We got another one of my favorite apple teas, along with a new black raspberry tea and Christmas candy pepermint we wanted to try. We also got a HUGE bag of my favorite kettle corn, which I was trying very hard not to make myself sick off of on the way back home. As well as some really cute coasters that hubby and I picked out. 😍 And of course, the Ren Fair wouldn’t be complete without the trinkets seen above the tea containers! We had an adorable little fairy give each of us a glass mushroom, and a woodland fairy gave us a glow in the dark toad! It’s just one more magical thing we get to experience when going to one of the largest Ren Fairs in Michigan! 😀
After the Ren Fair, we went back to the hotel and relaxed, knowing that tomorrow would be a long drive home. Sadly, we didn’t get much sleep that night either, as the springs in the mattress were starting to dig into our backs and sides.. But you can read more about that in the next post. 😉
That’s it for day two of our vacation! Be sure to keep an eye out for part three! And as always, smile, have an amazing day, and keep being your awesome self!
