The last few days, we have been treated to some beautiful storms! The air has cool down some but everything now feels wet and muggy. Today, we are expecting more smoke from Canada, on top of the muggy air that has already made it hard to breath. Have I mentioned that I can’t wait for Autumn yet??
The heat and the muggy air are slowly killing me as I work through this heat in the greenhouse, and I won’t sugarcoat it, it’s been rough. The heat is causing me to constantly feel nauseous, which is causing me to eat less for fear of being sick, which has caused my anxiety to spike up by A LOT!
Despite constantly feeling sick from the heat, and the smoke coming down from Canada to make the air practically unbreathable, I am trying my best to stick it out until Autumn. I know the cooler weather is just around the corner, and if I can hold on until then I shall be fine again (until next summer).

Besides the constant heat bringing me down, I am happy to say that something in my life is improving! I have challenged myself to clean off one surface a day around the apartment. Keeping up with this place while doing a full-time job isn’t easy, so I’ve been looking for anything I can to keep this place looking nice with minimal effort. By cleaning off one surface a day, I’ve managed to keep this place cleaner than usual, and it makes all the difference in my mood.
I get up bright and early at six in the morning to work on my daily chore list. Clean the litter box, do the dishes from the day before, clean off one surface item, etc… I have the most energy in the morning, so I get everything done before going to work, and it feels great knowing I leave the house clean and proper.
Personally, I’m a fan of lists, so having a list right in front of me that I can check off is great! And making it into a game is even better! And although this blog post is in no way sponsored by it, I do want to add that my check list I follow is on Habitica, a sight that turns your everyday chore list into a game you get points for. I’ll talk more about that in another blog post here soon, but feel free to check it out now!

Anyways, that’s my stormy day thoughts for the week. I do want to stop for a moment and give all of my readers a big hug, because I feel like you all deserve it. We all may be going through things, big and small, but you guys are an amazing group of people who are strong and can get through anything. Keep being you!

As always, smile, have an amazing day, and keep your chin up beautiful!

I love this! I’ve started a list of weekly chores instead of daily so each day I can check one thing off depending what I have time for. For me personally, life is chaotic and a little bit of everywhere so having l this helps me get things done without being overwhelmed.

I’ll be honest, most of the stuff on my ‘daily check list’ are things like brushing my teeth, getting dressed, and cleaning the litter box.
That way I still feel like I’ve accomplished something even on my days when I don’t have the energy to do things. đŸ˜…
