Oven Cooked BBQ Chicken Recipe

~

I love easy recipes that take no effort! When I can throw it easily in the oven and something delicious comes out an hour later, that’s my kind of dinner! So, I thought I would share my BBQ Chicken Recipe for those of you looking for an easy thing to make for dinner tonight!

What You Need:

  • Chicken (I use chicken breasts I cut up, but any type of chicken will work!)
  • BBQ Sauce (Your choice on what you prefer)
  • A Pan for Baking

It’s that simple! It doesn’t matter how much Chicken you need, that depends on how much you want to cook! It doesn’t matter how much BBQ Sauce you need, that depends on how much Chicken you use! You decide what you want to cook and change the recipe to accommodate that!

How to make it:

1. Cut the Chicken into strips, and then put them into a pan. I put mine into a glass brownie pan because that’s all I’ve got. Any pan will do as long as it’s got sides to hold in all of the BBQ sauce!

2. Add in the sauce! Whatever kind of BBQ sauce you want, add in a generous amount and stir the chicken so that every inch of it is covered in sauce!

3. Next, put the pan into the oven at 350F for about an hour. It’ll take more time if you’re doing a huge thing of it or if you cut it into big strips that need longer to cook. Just make sure to change the recipe for what you are doing.

4. Take it out halfway through the hour and stir. This ensures that it cooks evenly and doesn’t crisp up on the top. It also allows more BBQ sauce to coat the chicken. Yum!

5. Once the hour is up, slap it on a plate and eat! Soft and tender BBQ Chicken that tastes amazing and took no effort at all! Serve with some warm cornbread or some corn on the cob and invite the whole family!

Special shout out to my ‘unifacial second mom’ in Kentucky who taught this recipe to my family. We think of her every time we make this, and we enjoy this recipe often!

Let me know in the comments below if you try this recipe and what you thought of it! And as always my lovely readers, smile, have an amazing day, and enjoy some good food today!

  1. Delicious and easy, can’t beat that! I do something similar but generally make my own sauce. Nothing fancy just ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and seasoning. It does the trick when I don’t happen to have a bottle of store-bought sauce and its great on meatballs as well. Thanks
