Weekly Update: Sleepovers and Baby Blankets

~

This whole month has been a huge rollercoaster for us as we’ve moved into our new house, and we’ve been putting the finishing touches on our ‘small gathering’ wedding reception.

First, we’ll talk about the house.. My brother stayed over for the first time the other night. I had to make up the couch for him, as we are still trying to put boxes away that are in his room, and we JUST put the carpet in his bedroom.

We are still struggling with unpacking, and right now we are being stopped by a few things that need to be cleaned before we continue (a few cupboards, a closet or two, and some kitchen drawers). This time however, as everyone at my job is getting sick, and I am tired of cleaning the nicotine and having it soak into my skin, I am paying my brother to clean the rest. 😁👍🧼

Another thing that’s happened this week is I finally took some time to myself! I had two days off in a row this week! Of course, I was called into work on one of those days due to being short staffed with everyone getting sick. But I decided to do nothing but relax on my one day off! So, I lounged around the house, played some sims 4, and even crochet a baby blanket for a friend of mine at work (who was in utter shock that I crocheted a baby blanket in just a few days ‘because I was bored’).

I had so many bright colors, and I thought a rainbow blanket would look so cute! And it does! 😍

Another thing I’ve been working on was my office space. I have spent all morning today unpacking boxes of paper, pens, quills, and cards to put in the drawers of my office space! It’s not a whole room like I had before, but a small table in the corner is better than nothing! Along with unpacking boxes for my office, I also went out this morning to get totes to put holiday stuff in. I have a LOT of holiday boxes that need repacked into totes and put out in the garage until those seasons arrive. Right now, the house is decorated for Spring, and I will soon be getting Summer stuff out to decorate the house with. Until then, everything will be stored out in our garage until the time arises. 🌺☀️🍁❄️

As for the wedding stuff! I finally got the last of the decorations in the mail, as well as the belt for my dress! We are getting very excited for our small gathering with family and friends, and I can’t wait to celebrate with the people closest to us. Of course, weddings aren’t without a little drama, but I’ll tell that juicy story in my next post! 😉 But besides a few people trying to cause drama this month, we are all set for a beautiful party in the woods. ❤

More to come soon with updates! Until then, remember to smile, have an amazing day, and keep your eyes peeled for more posts! ❤ ❤ ❤
