Winter Solstice and The Start of a New Year

Happy Winter Solstice Everyone!!!

Yesterday was the shortest day of the year, also marking the end of one year and the beginning of another. With the days getting longer from hear on out, I hope that we can all have hope for good things in what is to come for this new year.

With Winter officially here, may the snow/rain wash away all of the bad things that have happened this year and make a clean canvase for the good. As I said in my ‘Saving the Seeds of Tomorrow‘ post, YOU have to decide what to plant in your life next. So after the Earth is done purifying it’s soil, perhaps think about what you are going to plant to help the Earth purify itself more naturally.

With the start of a new year, we also find ourselves with the opportunity to make a plan for this new year. I of course, ALWAYS have a plan. However, with everything that has gone wrong this year, I am starting to realize that one plan won’t cut it. I need to come up with a solution for everything that ‘could‘ go wrong, and then make a plan for ‘if’ that happens. My best advice for those planning out their new year goals, make room for the inevitable and unexpected to happen.

I wish you all a very happy winter and no matter where you are in the world I hope that your year is a great one! Remember to plan ahead, remember to prepare for the worst and expect the best, and remember that you are never alone in this world. Even on the darkest of nights, we are always surrounded by loved ones (even in quarantine)!

As always, smile, breath, and have a Happy Holiday Season!
